Planned repairs to the bridge deck over the Wichita-Valley Center Floodway will slow traffic on Kellogg in west Wichita over the weekend.

Starting at 9 p.m. Friday, westbound Kellogg from West Street to Hoover will be reduced to one lane, Kansas Department of Transportation spokesman Tom Hein said by e-mail. Two ramps that feed traffic into that area – westbound Kellogg to southbound I-235 and northbound I-235 to westbound Kellogg – also will be closed, he said.

The closures are expected to last until 6 a.m. Monday, Hein said. KDOT is planning to repeat the closures next weekend to finish the bridge deck repairs, he said.
