Hang on to hair and hat today. It’s getting windy.

Get out your jacket. Temperatures will drop to the 40s tonight.

But we get a “five star weather day” on Sunday, said Andy Kleinsasser, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Wichita.

For today: Jackets needed, either to go to Walk with Wildlife at Chisholm Creek Park or anything else. The high will reach only the low to mid-60s, with west-northwest winds averaging 15 to 20 miles per hour. Occasional 30 m.p.h. gusts.

There’s little chance of rain today, and skies will clear tonight, Kleinsasser said.

Tomorrow will be great, he said. Highs in the mid-70s, with only light winds, “and sunshine all day.”

Wichita Eisenhower Airport recorded about half an inch of rainfall on Friday. It rained more elsewhere; McPherson and Marion Counties recorded close to 3 inches , he said.
