State troopers will be watching for speeders on Kansas Turnpike south of Wichita
Kansas Highway Patrol troopers have a number of special enforcement projects around the state this week.
One enforcement project will be monitoring speed at Mile Marker 39 of the Kansas Turnpike, which is next to the exit for Haysville and Derby. That heightened focus on speed will run from 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to the patrol.
A total of 18 special patrols are scheduled this week and include saturation patrols, DUI checklanes, speeding, seat belt and stop sign enforcement.
