A man was seriously injured in a collision between a car and a motorcycle on the Kellogg flyover Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The collision occurred at 8 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Kellogg next to the Washington exit, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. The 37-year-old man riding the motorcycle was ejected in the collision.

He was taken to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis with serious injuries, the supervisor said. Eastbound traffic on Kellogg over downtown was blocked by the collision aftermath as rush hour was ending.

Eastbound traffic was being diverted off Kellogg at Seneca, according to police.
