Wichita Metro Chamber board votes to back sales tax referendum

The Wichita sales tax referendum gained support Monday when the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors voted to support it.

Earlier this month, the Wichita City Council passed a 1 percent sales tax referendum that will be presented to voters on Nov. 5.

The sales tax would be for five years and address water, economic development, bus and street needs.
