Two ramps from Kellogg to West Street to be closed Friday afternoon

A second ramp from Kellogg to West Street will be closed much of Friday afternoon.

The westbound exit ramp from Kellogg to West will be closed from 1 to 4 p.m. because of complications with a temporary traffic signal system on West, where construction work is being done, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.

The eastbound ramp off Kellogg to West closed Thursday morning and will remain closed until a traffic switch on West in completed sometime later on Friday. The closure is part of the work on the Kellogg interchange with I-235.

KDOT spokesman Tom Hein said traffic will move to the west side of the street as crews tear up the east side of the street. West Street will be reduced to two lanes during the traffic switch before a lane is added back for left turns.
