Results of DUI check lane at 25th and Broadway

Wichita police held a DUI check lane late Friday into Saturday morning that stopped 64 vehicles at 25th and North Broadway, an official said Monday.

The check lane caught one driver suspected of being under the influence and resulted in 25 citations for offenses including no driver’s license in possession, no proof of insurance and seat-belt violations, Wichita police Sgt. Nikki Woodrow said.

Several of the vehicles stopped had designated drivers, and police thanked those people for being responsible, Woodrow said.
