Peaceful pipeline protest at Keeper of the Plains, police say
A protest attended by about 200 people went peacefully Tuesday night at the Keeper of the Plains, a Wichita police official said Wednesday.
The two-hour protest at the giant sculpture west of downtown was over the Dakota Access Pipeline, Sgt. Nikki Woodrow said.
A handful of officers stood back and were there to make sure the gathering stayed peaceful, Woodrow said.
One person who caused a disturbance left after being asked by police and protesters to leave, she said. The specifics of the disturbance were unclear.
