This year’s Kansas Lottery “Holiday Millionaire Raffle” will give away a record 40,000 prizes.

Tickets cost $20 and go on sale Friday. A total of 200,000 tickets will be available for sale, making overall odds of winning 1 in 5.

The largest prize is $1 million; the winning ticket will be drawn Jan. 3.

The Kansas Lottery says it will give away “tens of thousands of $20 Instant Win cash prizes.”

Here are the rest of the prizes:

Instant $20 prizes

Tickets winning a $20 Instant Win Cash Prize will include a ticket message on the ticket that says: “You have won a $20 Instant Prize!” Each Instant Win ticket will have a special symbol to identify it as an instant winner, and music will play when an Instant Win ticket is produced, so players should listen for the “sounder.”

Players can redeem $20 Instant Wins immediately. Once an Instant Win ticket is redeemed, the player will receive a replacement ticket with the same raffle number that was on their original ticket.

Basic rules

Tickets must be purchased by 6:59 p.m. on each draw date to be eligible for that night’s drawing and all subsequent drawings, including the grand prize drawing.

Winners must produce their original Holiday Millionaire Raffle tickets to claim prizes.
