Two 19-year-old men with gunshot wounds ended up at a Wichita hospital after witnesses heard gunfire near Zimmerly and Hydraulic on Monday afternoon, police said Tuesday.
Police were dispatched to a report of gunshots around 3:30 p.m.
The two men, one with a wound to his thigh and the other with a wound to his foot, went to a hospital by a private vehicle, Wichita police Sgt. Nikki Woodrow said.
Why the shooting occurred is not clear, but the two men were talking to police, she said.
No information was available on any suspect.
She asked that anyone with information about the shooting contact police.
