Coronavirus updates: Sedgwick County cases increase by 3 while deaths hold steady
The Sedgwick County Health Department reported an increase of three COVID-19 cases and no deaths, bringing the totals to 580 and 21, respectively.
The last Sedgwick County death from coronavirus-related illnesses was reported on May 21.
More than 14,000 people have been tested in the county.
Sedgwick County has reported 10 clusters: three each at businesses, religious institutions and long-term care facilities and one at the Wichita Work Release Facility. Total cases at the clusters account for 235 cases, or about 41% of total cases, with long-term care facilities accounting for 130 cases and 17 deaths.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment reports statewide figures on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The latest report listed 9,719 cases and 208 deaths in the state.
The state has identified 122 clusters that account for 4,981 cases, or about 51% of the total, and 141 deaths, or about 68%.
