Coronavirus updates: Confirmed cases in Kansas put at 698, deaths climb to 21

New numbers released
Deaths in Kansas from the COVID-19 virus rose from Friday by four to 21 and Kansas’ total infected climbed 78 to 698, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment reported Saturday. Ages of the people who have been infected range from 0 to 100. There were 172 hospitalizations reported and 6,880 negative tests.
Sedgwick County went from 85 to 101 cases, county officials reported. Twenty people in Sedgwick County are in recovery, meaning they haven’t had symptoms for at least 72 hours or it’s been seven days since symptoms started, whichever is longer.
Sedgwick County tested 737 people, the KDHE reported. Sedgwick County had one death reported Monday. Sedgwick County also reported cases in surrounding counties: Reno County has nine cases; Butler eight; Harvey has two cases; Sumner two and Cowley one.
Maize changes grab-and-go breakfast and lunch locations
The Monday and Wednesday locations have changed. Students, age 1 to 18, can get free meals regardless of income and without question at the locations:
Maize Middle School, 4600 N. Maize Road in Maize, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays
Maize South Elementary School, 3404 N. Maize Road in Wichita, noon to 1 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays
