SBA Wichita District names winners of its annual business competition

The Wichita District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration had named local award winners of the agency’s annual Small Business Week competition.

▪ Small Business Persons of the Year — Dan & Jan Smoots, Fanestil Quality Meats, Emporia.

▪ Small Business Exporter of the Year — Candace & Woody Cottner, Global Aviation Technologies, 1704 S. Baehr, Wichita.

▪ 8(a) Graduate of the Year — Elizabeth Harshfield, Exhibit Arts, 326 N. Athenian, Wichita.

SBA said all awardees have been invited to Washington, D.C., to participate in events and ceremonies May 1-2.
