Survey: Kansas gets an A for business friendliness

The businesses surveyed gave Kansas an A in the Small Business Friendliness Survey by Thumbtack, a website for small service businesses.

That ranked Kansas 10th among states. Kansas had a B last year.

Survey respondents gave the state an A+ for nearly every measure, such as ease of starting a business, and the costs of taxes, regulations and labor, but the grade was pulled down by low marks on training and networking programs.
