Cooper named president of wealth manager TrueNorth
C. Weston “Wes” Cooper has been named president of local wealth management company TrueNorth.
Company founder Dave Strohm will remain as CEO and chief investment officer. The change will allow Strohm to focus more on clients and investment management. Cooper will join the firm June 30 and focus on managing the company and overseeing strategic growth.
Cooper, a native of Sedgwick, Kan. and a graduate of Emporia State University with a degree in business management, has 24 years of experience in investments and finance. He has held senior roles with Charles Schwab and Co., J.P. Morgan Chase and, most recently, Intrust Wealth.
He and his wife, Melanie, have twin sons, Miles and Ethan, and live in Wichita. He is a member of the board of directors of Exploration Place.
