Save-A-Lot to open grocery store in Winfield

A new discount grocery store is set to open in Winfield, according to a news release from the Cowley County Economic Development Department.

The Save-A-Lot grocery store, located at 1906 E. Ninth in the Winfield Plaza, will be open to the public beginning Wednesday, the release said. A ceremonial opening, accompanied by a ribbon-cutting, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday.

Save-A-Lot identified the east-side Winfield location because of the area’s lack of a nearby grocer, according to the release.
