Home foreclosures continue to drop in Wichita area
The home foreclosure rate in Wichita area continued to drop in April, as the city has largely bounced back from a decade of financial struggles in its housing sector.
According to CoreLogic, 0.76 percent of outstanding mortgages were in foreclosure, and 2.73 percent were in delinquency.
Lower unemployment, a stronger economy and tighter credit conditions have served to lower the number of problem mortgages.
