J.P.Weigand & Sons on Wednesday announced the promotion of Richelle Knotts to vice president and general manager of the company’s residential division.
Knotts, currently Weigand’s director of new homes, will start in her new role June 1, according to a news release. Knotts will replace Gary Walker, who is set to retire after eight years as vice president of the residential division and 36 years with the Wichita real estate firm.
“We are excited to have Richelle assume this new role,” Nestor Weigand, Jr., the company’s chairman and CEO, said in a statement. “We also want to wish Gary Walker the best of luck in the next chapter of his life and thank him for all of the years and leadership he has provided Weigand.”
Knotts, who began working for Weigand in 2008, will join the company’s senior management team, which includes Nestor Weigand, president John Rupp, senior commercial division vice president and general manager Dawn Truman, and chief financial officer Peggy Ward.
