With his business growing, Sierra Pacific Mortgage Wichita branch manager and owner Brian McGinley decided recently that it was time to be more visible.

McGinley, who also oversees Sierra Pacific in four other cities in Kansas and Missouri, said Friday that he hopes to be moved into a new space at the Offices at Cranbrook, 10111 E. 21st St., by sometime early next year.

“This is going to be a big move for us,” McGinley said. “Nobody really knows who we are, so I think this move, and the addition of some signage, is going to help us. Things have been going well for us in Wichita and we’ve been expanding, so I thought the time was right.”

Sierra Pacific currently makes its home on the eighth floor of the Equity Bank building, near the southwest corner of Kellogg and Rock. Chad Stafford, president of Occidental Management, the development firm that owns the Offices at Cranbrook complex, said Sierra Pacific will move into a 2,880-square-foot space currently occupied by Brad Pistotnik’s law firm.

Once renovation work is complete, Pistotnik’s law office will be housed in a new approximately 3,300-square-foot space at Cranbrook, part of which was formerly occupied by Forred Chiropractic. According to its website, Forred is no longer in business.

Like his future neighbor, Pistotnik said he is planning to expand his practice, which led to the decision to acquire more space.

“We have 10 employees now, including me, and we’re going to hire more,” Pistotnik said. “We needed more room to do that. We’re looking forward to the move once the remodel is complete.”

Craig Simon with Landmark Commercial Real Estate represented Sierra Pacific, while Stafford represented Occidental in the lease agreement. Stafford said he also worked with Pistotnik on the deal to expand the law office.

Once both tenants have moved in, Stafford said, two of the three Cranbrook buildings – the third is a two-story, 51,500-square-foot structure – will be full. Sierra Pacific, a national chain, employs 14 at its Wichita location after the addition of several new loan originators in the past few months, McGinley said.

“We’ve been mostly a referral business,” McGinley said. “It will be great to be seen a little more. I’m looking at also opening a west-side location in Wichita, perhaps in the next year or so.”
