WaterWalk complex nearly full
The WaterWalk hybrid hotel and apartment complex idea seems to be working.
According to a news release Thursday, the WaterWalk Hotel Apartments reached 98 percent occupancy for the months of May and June. Following its grand opening in November, the extended stay complex downtown, the brainchild of developer Jack DeBoer, has proven to be a successful concept, according to WaterWalk president David Redfern.
“It’s evident that our hybrid hotel and apartment business model is a proven concept,” Redfern said in the release. “I’m confident that our occupancy in Wichita will continue to be strong due to execution of our sales and marketing plan and national awareness.”
The complex, which is a design that features nearly three dozen like properties nationwide, is located along Maple Street in downtown Wichita.
