WoodSpring Suites said Thursday a South Carolina real estate development company will build two of the Wichita-based company’s hotels in the Charleston area.

The extended-stay hotel chain said in a news release it has entered into an agreement with Jupiter Holdings to build WoodSpring hotels in Summerville, S.C. and in the West Ashley area of Charleston.

WoodSpring, which earlier this year changed its name from Value Place, has 196 company-owned and franchised hotels in 32 states. It owns 84 of the hotels and provides management services for both company-owned and franchised hotels.

In 2015, the company aims to break ground on 30 hotels, including in markets such as Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and Minneapolis.
