Martens’ hotel division plans Best Western Plus hotel in Oklahoma

A division of Wichita real estate firm Martens Cos. will manage a new hotel planned for Norman, Okla.

Martens’ Hospitality Management will manage a Best Western Plus hotel to be constructed adjacent to the Norman Regional HealthPlex near Interstate 35 and Tecumseh Road in Norman.

Construction of the hotel is expected to begin in late summer, and it should open in summer 2016, according to a news release.

Details on the hotel’s size, number of rooms and amenities are being finalized, according to the news release.

Wichita-based Krehbiel Architecture is the architect, and Conco Construction is the general contractor for the project.

Hospitality Management operates Best Western Plus and Econo Lodge hotels in Kansas and Oklahoma. The division was launched by Martens about four years ago.
