Via Christi Health said Tuesday it will become sole owner of Anatomi Imaging, a medical imaging business in which it had been a joint venture partner since 2000.
As part of the ownership change, Via Christi said in a news release that two radiologists from Via Christi Clinic will join Kansas Imaging Consultants, its joint-venture partner in Anatomi and physician practice group comprising 22 radiologists.
Kansas Imaging also will be Via Christi’s exclusive provider of radiology physician services in Wichita, under the new agreement.
“It enables us to consolidate our imaging footprint while providing better-coordinated diagnostic evaluations for our patients,” Karl Ulrich, Via Christi chief operating officer, said in the release.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Via Christi Clinic radiologists Dave Simms and Steve Taylor are expected to join Kansas Imaging in March.
Anatomi has five locations in Wichita and its services include digital mammography, CT scans, MRI and four-dimensional ultrasound.
