Via Christi’s doctor training programs get $500,000 boost from foundation

Via Christi Health said Thursday that Riverside Health Foundation has given $500,000 to support graduate medical education at Via Christi Hospitals in Wichita.

Via Christi said $475,000 of the donation will go to its family medicine residency program and the third- and fourth-year osteopathic student clinical training program.

The remaining $25,000 will support Via Christi’s International Family Medicine Fellowship.

Via Christi said the foundation’s most recent gift brings its total contribution to Via Christi programs to more than $7.5 million in the past 13 years.
