Dinner and a telemedicine demonstration
Health care workers and the public are invited to dinner and a presentation at Newton Medical Center on Sept. 27 to introduce the hospital’s telemedicine program.
Dinner is $5 per person, beginning at 6 p.m., followed by a demonstration at 6:30 p.m. of a robot and other bedside technology used for physician and patient videoconferencing.
The event is called “Dinner with the Doctors” and will take place at the Newton Medical Center Sunflower Cafe, 600 Medical Center Drive.
Reservations are required. RSVP by Sept. 19 by calling 316-804-6129.
Newton Medical Center said in a news release that it launched the telemedicine program for inpatient care in early August in partnership with two companies, Eagle Telemedicine and Sunflower Telemedicine.
