It’s going to be a while, but Green Lantern Car Wash eventually will reopen on the southwest corner of Kellogg and Greenwich.
“We’ve always planned to,” says Don Boos, director of real estate for Salina-based Blue Beacon International and Green Lantern, its subsidiary.
The business closed because of construction along Kellogg, and another Green Lantern opened on the east side of North Rock Road by the K-96 off ramp.
“We’re very pleased with the new one,” Boos says.

Still, he says Kellogg and Greenwich “was a very good location for us.”
“We always feel like we’d like to be back in business there when the time is right,” Boos says.
“We just don’t know how long it’s going to take for all the road improvements to be done,” he says. “We were told it’s going to be a good four years.”
