The partners in the Wichita-area uBreakiFix franchise are preparing to open their third store this summer at the Village at Greenwich, and they intend to make it their flagship store.
“We wanted to have kind of a higher-end location and store,” says Bill Ramsey, who is partners in the business with Bryson Butts and David Hensley.
Ramsey says the plan is a store that “beefs up the look of what we’re doing.”
The store will open “right smack dab in the middle of the strip mall where Freebirds is,” Ramsey says of the development on the northeast corner of 21st and Greenwich.

He says that’s a premier spot at the center to “have an amazing looking presence there.”
The store mainly fixes smartphones and tablets, but it makes other repairs as well, such as to gaming consoles and computers.
The Village at Greenwich store will be 1,500 square feet, which compares with about 1,400 square feet at the NewMarket Square uBreak store that the partners opened in late 2014 and 1,000 square feet at their Derby Marketplace store, which opened this spring.
Ramsey says ideally, the new uBreak store will open at the beginning of August. Realistically, though, he says it may not be until the beginning of September.
That likely will be it for Wichita stores for now.
“We’re going to see how Wichita does with these three locations,” Ramsey says.
He says the partners are looking at other markets, including Kansas City.
“It’s pretty saturated up there,” he says.
Still, if they find the right space, they could open there.
For now, Ramsey says the focus is on the Village at Greenwich store.
“We’re excited about this opportunity, as always.”
