When aesthetician Juliana Phillips opened her Everyday Beaut at Clifton Square in September, she didn’t know if she’d ever need more than the 400 square feet she leased.
“I kind of try to be in the moment and take it just one day at a time,” Phillips says. “I’ve been hopeful that I might grow.”
Next month, she’s expanding into 1,200 square feet where Cravings Gluten Free Bakery used to be.
In addition to having more space, Phillips says she’ll also be on the ground level and have a more-visible presence.
Currently, she’s on the second floor of another building.
Phillips says a client said to her, “You’re not going to have to tell people how to find you anymore.”
Everyday Beaut offers facials, chemical peels and waxing, but lash extensions are what Phillips specializes in.
She says she’s recently been certified to be a lash-extension instructor and will offer courses in the new space.
The space also will allow Phillips to bring in at least one other employee who is a professional makeup artist and also will do lash extensions.
Phillips will open in the new space on July 1.
She says she likes being in Clifton Square for its central location and quaint environment and also likes being along the Douglas Design District.
“It’s a really cool atmosphere.”
