Just over a year after moving their Three Pea Consignment Gallery to the southwest corner of Central and Oliver, Kirsten Awe and Gary Streepy have closed the business.
“It was kind of a quick decision,” Awe says.
“It just wasn’t making financial sense at all.”
That’s even though their traffic flow doubled in the space.

“It was a great location,” Awe says.
She says the sales weren’t there, though, and “the overhead was, of course, higher.”
“It’s a tough business.”
Streepy is still doing his staging business through Three Pea Home Staging and Awe is still doing organizing.
She also still has Three Pea Senior Relocation & Transition Services.
The two also have started a new company, Three Pea Moving, which grew out of their other businesses.
“It’s hard to find good movers, and these guys are amazing,” Awe says of the men who move furniture for staging and senior relocations.
She says she and Streepy are “really concentrating on growing our local moving services.”
