The great granddaughter of the founder of Fruhauf Uniforms is going to be one of the vendors opening at the new District Marketplace.

Liv Grant already has Liv&work, which sells clothing and home decor items online.

Now, she’s going to have a camper that will be mostly stationed at the Marketplace but can go elsewhere, too.

The idea is she’ll “be able to stage my products in the way they’d be used in a home,” Grant says.

She says she dyes and sews everything she sells with American materials only – all the way down to the thread she uses.

“It’s just really important,” Grant says of sourcing her material locally. She says she’s “grown up with a big pride and value for American-made things and handmade things.”
