Conco Construction president and principal owner Craig Nelson is planning a major move for his company.
The 40-year-old firm is now on two and a half acres in an industrial park at 3030 S. All Hallows Ave., where it’s been for 25 years. There’s a 6,000-square-foot office and a shop that’s in 10,000 square feet.
“That’s part of our problem,” Nelson says. “We’ve outgrown ourselves.”
The company has now purchased almost 22 acres at the northeast corner of 29th and Ohio.

“There’s opportunity there,” Nelson says.
He says Conco will be able to lease space to tenants not related to the company.
“We have friends that needed space.”
The move will allow more room for Conco, too.
“The company has grown significantly,” Nelson says.
He says he’ll share more news about the move in a couple of months.
Meanwhile, Conco’s property is now on the market. Nelson has listed it with both NAI Martens and J.P. Weigand & Sons.
“I like them both.”
