There’s bad news for fans of Ann Taylor, but it does have a silver lining.
The New York-based women’s clothing chain is closing its store at Bradley Fair, where it’s been for about a dozen years.
The good news is that Loft, which also is owned by Ann Inc., will remain open at the center.
Loft has been at Bradley Fair since 2013.

“Per our corporate policy, we do not provide comment on individual store openings or closings, which are a natural and ongoing function of doing business in retail,” said an e-mail from Shawn Buchanan, senior director of public relations for Ann Taylor.
The store is closing late this month. One clerk told a shopper the last day of business will be Jan. 23.
Amy Liebau, a spokeswoman for Bradley Fair developer Laham Development, sees another silver lining to the closing as well.
“While we will miss Ann Taylor, we will look forward to being able to accommodate new stores that want to be in the center and that Wichitans want to have in the … city,” she says. “We expect to be able to make some announcements very soon.”
