Wichita’s third Firehouse Subs opened on Monday.

“It’s been kind of a soft opening, which has been fine with me,” says Andy Reece.

He and his wife, Megan, own the Firehouse at Kellogg and Rock Road and the new one in Regency Lakes at 21st and Greenwich.

“The design of the restaurant is a little bit different,” Andy Reece says. “It looks like an old-style firehouse with a lot more brick work.”

The floor’s ceramic tile is made to look like wood.

The new Firehouse is open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Another couple of franchisees own the Firehouse at NewMarket Square at 21st and Maize Road.

Reece says he and his wife could open more of the restaurants as long as the first two go well.

“That is always a possibility.”
