A second Title Boxing Club will open in Wichita in time for all those New Year’s resolutions in January.
“The new model is really exciting,” says Cory Boxberger.
He works at the Title Boxing Club at the Shops at Tallgrass at 21st and Rock Road, which opened in 2012.
Boxberger is now opening Title Boxing Club West Wichita in the former Blockbuster space near the northwest corner of Central and Maize Road.

“You do something long enough, and you think you know the best way to do it,” Boxberger says of starting his own place.
The gym, which will be in 4,800 square feet, will offer kickboxing classes, exercise equipment and personal training.
Though it will be the same business model as Wichita’s first Title Boxing, the new one will be more of a boxing gym than a general fitness gym, Boxberger says.
“I just intend to have more … technical kind of training.”
He says it’s more traditional.
“There’s a more old-school way of doing it.”
Krista Lowry of J.P. Weigand & Sons and Troy and Nathan Farha of NAI Martens handled the deal for the space.
Boxberger says he hopes the business will be ready by the middle of December.
He says he’ll keep his current Title Boxing job and work on opening the new place every day “until I need to go to sleep.”
