Senior partner Steve Criser likes to joke that the accounting firm Criser, Gough & Parrish has east and west Wichita offices because customers don’t like to cross the river.
“It’s probably more like fording the river,” he says. “They don’t want to do that.”
The truth behind the two offices is that the firm, which has a main office in 5,625 square feet near the southwest corner of Harry and Webb, bought another firm in Reflection Ridge Office Park in 2000.
Now, that 1,200-square-foot west-side office is getting an upgrade.

It’s moving to similar-sized space at 8558 W. 21st St., which is near 21st and Tyler behind Dudley’s Sports Bar and Grill, but the visibility and access will be better, Criser says.
Currently, he says, clients “have to sort of wander down a hall” to find the firm.
The new space will “give us a storefront access.”
“We’re all about service for our clients, and I want to give them easier access,” Criser says.
The new west-side space will allow the firm to arrange more logically, he says, and will allow it to have its own prominent sign.
“Our clients can drive right up to the front door.”
The move is planned for Nov. 1.
