UPDATED – Wichita’s second Versona is opening next week at NewMarket Square.

The chain, which is owned by North Carolina-based CATO Corp., sells women’s apparel, shoes, jewelry, sunglasses, handbags, scarves, belts and hair accessories.

The store, which is organized by trends and color, will open Sept. 24 in the 6,500-square-foot space that Dustee’s Fashion Accessories left in April.

The first Wichita Versona opened in spring 2013 at Bradley Fair, on the east side.

Jerry Jones of Slawson Cos., the NewMarket Square developer, says Versona will fit in with the mix of shops at the center.

“We’re very pleased that Versona will be joining the NewMarket Square lineup of fashion-oriented tenants,” he says. “Versona is a relatively new brand and adds a fresh new look to the center.”
