There’s a new pet care brand in Wichita, though some customers already will be familiar with the businesses that the brand is now renaming.

That’s because the new Digs Dog Care already purchased Woof’s Play & Stay more than a year ago and has now simply rebranded the east- and west-side businesses.

Chicago-based Digs has 25 pet resorts under its umbrella, some of which are still known by other names.

The five Woof’s businesses the company acquired in Kansas and Missouri are all getting the Digs name.

“We are now undergoing a rebrand,” said Lizzy Ament, assistant marketing manager.

“It’s completely redesigned. Everything’s new.”

Basic services are still the same, including day care, boarding and grooming. Eventually, there will be training, too.

There will be an open house from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the east Digs, at 2118 127th Ct., followed by an open house from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday at the west Digs, at 5500 W. Central.

There will be tours, freebies and pup and people treats.
