Wichita entertainment destination has a new name; two others to get rebranded as well

One Wichita Bowlero has rebranded to Lucky Strike, which is not only a new name for the business but what the company called a new level of fun, too, and two others should follow.

It was 2022 when New York-based Bowlero Corp., the world’s largest bowling center owner, acquired three longtime bowling alleys that Wichita-based Joma Bowling Co. owned here and changed their names to Bowlero.

Those included Northrock Lanes at 3232 N. Rock Road, the Alley Indoor Entertainment at the Plazzio development at 13th and Greenwich, and West Acres at 749 N. Ridge Road.

Now, the newly named Lucky Strike Entertainment is in the process of rebranding throughout the company.

“This change isn’t just about a new name or look — it’s all about taking the already popular entertainment destination to new heights,” a spokeswoman said in an e-mail.

She said the changes include “an immersive environment featuring a hit playlist, state-of-the-art arcade games, a new craft menu with partners on the cutting edge of dining (i.e. Mike’s Hot Honey), specialty cocktails and elevated service from start to finish.”

More than 50 of what she called the most iconic Bowlero sites already have rebranded.

It’s not clear when the other two Wichita Bowleros will be rebranded.

Keep an eye on the new Lucky Strike website for grand reopening celebrations, which will include food and beverage samples, VIP experiences and giveaways.
