New business has ‘premium gasoline,’ ‘amazing pizza’ and potential for brownie points
As commercial broker Will Harmon exuberantly put it in a recent social media video, Goddard soon will be home to a new business at 183rd and Kellogg, just across from Walmart.
“They’ve got premium gasoline,” Harmon hinted. “They’ve got amazing pizza and my wife’s favorite caramel-colored long john that she goes crazy for in the mornings when I need brownie points.”
The big reveal? A Casey’s General Store that Harmon said has been more than two years in the making. He credits the city for helping to make it happen.
Though a spokeswoman had a slightly less enthusiastic response than Harmon’s, she did e-mail that the Iowa company is “excited to join the community of Goddard, KS and share all Casey’s has to offer.”
Construction on the 4,569-square-foot store will begin in August.
Harmon, of Sperry Ad Astra Commercial, said in his video that there are eight available lots around where Casey’s will locate.
“It is go time. This place is exploding, and this land is not going to last very long.”
