As the parents of five kids ages 2 to 11, Ashli and Dillon Enders realized a problem in Wichita.

“Whenever we try to go do a family outing, we struggle finding something that each kid will enjoy,” Ashli Enders said.

That’s why they’re now opening Play & Party Co., a place for kids of all ages to play and have parties.

“You can bring the whole family,” Enders said.

She said they had hoped to open by June, but they’re actually ahead of schedule and should open by mid-to-late May.

The business, which is in about 4,000 square feet at the Westlink shopping center at the southwest corner of Central and Tyler, will be open seven days a week.

“You can just drop in,” Enders said.

Parents, who need to stay while their children play, will have comfortable lounge seating with clear views of the children.

The play spaces include one area with imaginative playhouses, each sponsored by area businesses.

There’s a sand dig area for playing and building and a soft clay zone with foam climbing structures and a ball pit for tiny children.

There’s a gaming room for ages 5 and up with consoles, a wall of TVs and arcade games.

All ages can enjoy a glam room to play dress-up and even take a stage and runway. There are makeup kits available for purchase.

There are a couple of party rooms as well.

Guests can bring their own supplies or purchase them there. The business also can decorate the spaces if that’s what customers choose.

There will be varying prices of admission, including family memberships that allow for unlimited visits.

Party rooms start at $250 for 10 children.

Enders said she one day would like to have a second Play & Party Co. on the east side.

She and her husband previously owned the Selfie Spot on Douglas just east of Hydraulic, among other businesses.

Her children especially like this business.

“They live with us up here,” Enders said. “They think it’s the funnest thing.”
