Brothers Brian and Paul Suellentrop have had so much success with their first Shops at Avante at the northwest corner of 37th North and Ridge Road that they’re opening a second nearby.

“Obviously, we had such a good response to that first building,” Brian Suellentrop said. “There’s definitely a need . . . for more retail up in that area.”

Phase two is at 3905 N. Ridge Road, which is just north of the intersection.

The 22,000-square-foot building will have the capacity to hold 13 businesses.

The first Avante center had the capacity to hold 16 businesses but ended up having only a dozen because some took more space at the 29,000-square-foot center. That could happen at the new center as well.

This center will be ready in the fall.

Suellentrop said one lease is already out to be signed, and a few more are in the works.

“We continue to get interest.”
