New medical suite is ‘a home away from home where patients can be relaxed and safe’
PromptCare Infusion Suite of Wichita on Wednesday celebrated the grand opening of its new clinic in Suite 1003 at 8200 E. 34th Circle North, which is near K-96 and North Rock Road.
The 40-year-old New Jersey company entered the Kansas market a few years ago with the acquisition of ARJ Infusion Services in Lenexa.
“We’ve been really working to grow it ever since,” said Holly Rohleder, vice president of marketing.
She said the company has 11 specialty pharmacies nationwide and 15 infusion suites serving thousands of adults and children “who have very complex or chronic disorders.”
Most patients will be referred by their physicians, though Rohleder said self referrals are welcome as well.
Nurses will treat patients either in the suite or at their homes.
“It’s really up to the patient,” Rohleder said. “We want to provide them an environment where they’re most comfortable.”
She said the suite offers heated recliners and streaming in a relaxed setting.
“It’s very serene. . . . A lot of these infusions take several hours.”
Patients may bring a guest, and snacks and drinks are provided.
“Just anything to make them comfortable,” Rohleder said. “It’s kind of like a home away from home where patients can be relaxed and safe.”
The Lenexa pharmacy that will serve Wichita as well with overnighted supplies.
Rohleder said PromptCare accepts a variety of insurance programs available in the state.
“It’s not often that we don’t take someone’s insurance.”
In a statement, PromptCare CEO Paul Jardina said it’s a “privilege to walk alongside every patient on their journey to better health.”
“Our mission begins with compassion. We’re proud to offer a space where personalized attention meets convenient care — combining infusion therapy and skilled nursing in a comfortable, modern suite for people navigating chronic conditions.”
