Wichita technology firm known for personal service grows through two acquisitions

Wichita’s OneSource Technology has grown by two — two new acquisitions, that is.

OneSource is a local IT service provider for small and medium-size businesses

“We provide a more personal service,” said principal consultant Paul Bush.

The company provides a regular IT presence for businesses that may not have an IT department. It’s a way for employees to ask questions they might not otherwise make calls to ask, such as learning new uses for their technology.

OneSource also helps businesses strategize plans for things such as remote working and how to handle technology on snow days when employees unexpectedly have to work from home.

OneSource has made several acquisitions since it started in 1998.

Now, it has purchased two businesses from Mike Cole.

One is CEM Systems, an IT support firm that started in 1988.

It “had a big focus in construction and engineering,” Bush said.

The other business is NetStream, a hosting company for websites and e-mail systems.

Todd Bailey, president of Transworld Business Advisors of Wichita, helped with the sale of the businesses.

Bush said he’s adding a couple of people to his team to help with all the additional clients.

Cole is going to remain on a part-time basis until the end of the year.

Bush said there could yet be one more OneSource acquisition this year.

He said that’s all that’s planned “unless, of course, the right opportunity came up.”
