QuikTrip has a couple of updates on its plans for stores along Kellogg.

On the west side, the Tulsa company plans a new store at the southeast corner of Kellogg and 135th West.

A representative said QuikTrip should close on the land this month, and construction will begin this year.

Once construction starts, work likely will take about eight months, depending on possible delays.

On the other end of Kellogg, the longtime QuikTrip at Kellogg and 143rd East is going to stay open longer than planned. It was supposed to close at the end of this month, which already was an extension from the original planned closure date.

The store eventually has to close for road construction, but it has received an extension at least through May.

QuikTrip is working with the Department of Transportation in the hopes of keeping the store open right up until construction starts.

The QuikTrip representative said it’s a fluid situation.

Look for more news as QuikTrip has it, including where it may build a new store to replace the one at Kellogg and 143rd.
