Two Revolutsia businesses swap spaces and will host grand reopenings
Just over a year after opening, Dummy Apparel Company owner Danny Sun is celebrating a grand reopening of his store at Revolutsia this weekend.
Following that will be the grand reopening of his and Anita Robinson’s ICT Bazaars craft business.
“We flipped them,” Sun said of the store spaces.
The new arrangement fits each business better, he said.
At Dummy Apparel, Sun has added the Scent Studio, a DIY fragrance bar.
“It’s basically you come in, and you create your own custom scent.”
He’s also adding vintage clothes to the lines of his own clothing he sells along with that of some local artists.
Previously, Sun added a hat bar and a charm bar to the store as well.
One of the benefits with the move is that the ICT Bazaars space now will have a sink, which will be handy for people doing crafts.
That includes theme parties, such as a build-your-own-bouquet workshop on Valentine’s Day and wreath-making parties at the holidays.
Sun is inviting local artists to teach their crafts there, too.
Normally, ICT Bazaars will be open for craft sessions only. However, if artists take weekly opportunities for pop-up stores, the business will be open more traditional hours.
The first craft event will be Feb. 22.
Dummy Apparel’s grand reopening is from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sun said.
“We’re just trying to add more community and engagement and just be different.”
