Hartman Arena, which has had its name since Wink Hartman Sr. opened it in 2009, will now be known as Park City Arena.

The change likely is not permanent, though.

Park City administrator Sean Fox said Hartman had given Jeff Lange of Lange Cos. a year to change the name after he purchased the arena last May through an entity called TCRS LLC.

Fox said he was informed that the company still is searching for a long-term naming sponsor.

For instance, in Wichita, Intrust Bank is the naming sponsor for Intrust Bank Arena.

According to a Lange press release, “This presents a unique opportunity for businesses to align with a prominent entertainment destination and gain significant exposure both locally and regionally.”

In the meantime, Fox said he appreciates the company recognizing the city and is happy “that they’re advertising it that way.”

“Park City’s very blessed.”
