One of the final tenants to leave downtown’s Commerce Plaza, which may become apartments, will be White & Ellis Drilling.
“It’ll probably be February,” Tom White says.
He’s moving the business to the Hartman Oil Building at 10500 E. Berkeley Square Parkway.
With White’s 3,300-square-foot lease, this will make the 4-year-old Hartman building fully occupied.
White says his business has been at Commerce Plaza since 1979.
“I don’t move much.”
However, he says, “I’ve flirted with moving east for years.”
White never has because he says, “I’m comfortable here.”
Not much will change with the move.
“Well, I guess I’ll leave my house, and I’ll turn left instead of right,” White says. “That’s about it.”
