Slawson Cos. is trading one river view for another.

This fall, the company will move from River Park Place at 727 N. Waco, where it’s been for at least a couple of decades, to the Farm Credit Bank Building at 245 N. Waco.

“One thing I think really attracted them was the amenities of the building,” said Patrick Ahern, the NAI Martens broker who handled the deal.

He said there’s on-site food service, a fitness center and a tenant lounge with table tennis, shuffleboard and a seating area for employees to take a break from their offices.

Slawson had more than 21,000 square feet at River Park Place and will have about 16,000 square feet on the fourth floor of the Farm Credit Bank Building.

“They have great river views,” Ahern said.

He called the company, which is in the oil and real estate business among other things, a great Wichita company.

“We’re really excited to have them as a tenant in the building.”
