Genesis Health Clubs now has a Riverside gym, but it’s not in Wichita’s neighborhood by the same name.

The company, which bills itself as “the largest privately owned fitness provider in the nation,” purchased Tulsa’s RH91 and has renamed it Genesis Health Clubs – Riverside.

This makes the fifth Tulsa-area club for Genesis and its first in Oklahoma for tennis. The club has 18 indoor and outdoor courts.

“We have the 4 best health and fitness facilities in Tulsa and now the best tennis facility as well,” said Genesis owner and president Rodney Steven II in a statement. “Ever since we first came to Tulsa in 2016, we knew that RH91, or The Grand, as it was known at the time, was perfect for us. It’s a great facility with community and history, and fits the Genesis model of having a world-class tennis facility in every city perfectly.”

Genesis now has a total of 64 clubs nationally, including 19 with tennis facilities.

Steven plans to remodel his latest acquisition.

Club members will have access to the other Tulsa facilities as well as most of the other Genesis clubs in eight states.

“It’s a win-win,” Steven said in the statement. “RH91 members get access to so many more clubs, we continue our investment in fitness in Tulsa, and the sport of tennis continues to grow and thrive. We can’t wait for what’s next!”
