Wichita’s second HTeaO now has an opening date and a surprise menu addition
Wichita’s second HTeaO franchise now has an opening date: Dec. 9. It also has a surprise menu addition: coffee.
The wildly popular chain, which started in Texas as Texas Tea, first opened in Wichita last year near 13th and Tyler. Now, it’s opening at 12930 E. 21st St., which is near the northeast corner of 21st and 127th streets.
Michelle Albracht, who is a franchisee with her husband, KWCH, Channel 12, sports and news anchor Jacob Albracht, said east-side residents “seem to be anxiously awaiting us.”
“They all like to let me know that they made the point to drive all the way out west to try HTeaO.”
The chain is known for its double-reverse osmosis system that it uses for tea, ice and everything else that has water in it.
“I think people notice the minute they try our product,” Albracht said.
“We have more than 25 different sweet and unsweet ice teas that we brew all throughout the day.”
There are more than 500 drink combinations. Customers can mix and match and sample before they buy.
“It’s people creating new stuff every time they come in,” Albracht said. “We’ve created a pretty loyal fan base out west.”
Now, there will be a number of options for coffee drinkers as well, including lattes.
“That will be something new and exciting,” Albracht said.
The west HTeaO doesn’t offer coffee. It may eventually depending on how the coffee does at the new east site.
“We would like to,” Albracht said.
She said customers often are surprised to see all the other things HTeaO has as well, such as snacks and Yeti products.
“There’s just so much more to offer.”
